What should I expect from a realtor?

Should they be showing our home or are they hired just to help us thru the selling process and purchase of another home (we are staying in the same area)? If she would bring us a buyer I know she is working for me but I think it would be uncomfortable for her to negotiate a price when she knows our bottom line, price wise.

I rarely hear from her unless I email her first and she has never shown the house except for when we did an open house. She does send me any new listings that might interest us and usually gets back to us after a showing.

Any advice would be appreciated.
