Just in at my local Publix, is Sumo Citrus. I picked up four. They are a cross between California Navel Oranges and tangerines. They were invented just a few years ago in a Japan. They are seedless and they are the easiest citrus to peel I’ve ever seen. They are very sweet with a bit of tart after bite. I mixed them (peeled) with vanilla yogurt in a delicious smoothie in my Vitamix.

I, too, have had these and they are indeed sweet and delicious. A little pricey but well worth it.

Yum! But a treat only. Funny looking!

The name says it all as far as how it looks...LOL!

I tried one just for the novelty - they are delicious, but my local grocery carries them for $2.95 each. For that price I think a plain old tangelo tastes just as good.

I love these!! I've been purchasing them at Whole Foods for a couple of years now.

I have been purchasing them at an upscale market for the last few years. I can't remember the cost per pound but the last one I got cost $4.95 for one (it was large). I justify that by telling myself it could be candy instead of a healthy food!
