I didn’t know Mr. Duckwitz by name but I did know the story of how Denmark saved most of their Jewish population. It makes you wonder what might have happened if other countries had not been so acquiescent in pleasing their German captors.

there are so many inspiring stories and even an organization that brings new stories to light and helps support rescuers from that time who are in need now.  Jewish Foundation for the Righteous.  here is testimony from the last years:
