We went to see Mary Poppins, today. What fun. I think it stands up well, to the original film

The children were just a delight to watch. It had a bit more story to it, and was a tear jerker ,for me ,in parts( but I cry at everything) So, I wouldn't fear about it upsetting children

The cast is amazing. EB stand up to Julie A  very well. D*ck Van D*ke is a national treasure. His part is small ,but he certainly doesn't disappoint

It is about a 2 hr film. Do yourself a favor, and see this one. It is magic

I totally agree. We just saw it this morning and we really liked it. What also made it nice was it was pretty much adults with no kids in the audience.

Thank you for the review!  The movie is based heavily on the book.  My kids lovingly tell me that I cry over everything. I will again prove them right when we all see the movie on Christmas Day!

@cherry  Saw Merry Poppins today, also. Excellent movie! Great music. Recommend it. (Was surprised a remake would be as good as the first time around, but it was.)

We just got home from seeing it this afternoon and really enjoyed it! It wasn’t just a remake of the original Mary Poppins either. All of the main character actors were excellent and the special guest stars were great, too. It’s a must see movie for the family!

I’m so glad to hear the positive reviews. You never know how the remakes will go.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I saw Mary Poppins this afternoon. Packed theater.

I loved it. I thought it was fabulous.

Much applause at the end.
