I am so encouraged more of our pharmaceutical drugs will be manufactured in the US through Kodak. This will help our dependence on China and create more jobs. I find this as wonderful news.

As long as people do not mind higher prices.

@SeaMaiden Nobody will be forced to buy.

Thanks, @RhondaRena for conveying this news. These step-by-step changes, whether small or big, are welcome, and good to know about.

@RhondaRena That is indeed good news if it actually comes to pass. Often, it seems, these plans are figments of somebody's imagination.

Yes, it's about time! And. hopefully, more of our companies will come back soon! Give me USA made goods any day!!
Price-wise it was just announced yesterday that ceiling on pharms will match all other countries - contrary to what's been going on for soooo long.
As far as paying higher prices on manufactured goods - if that's the cost of safety, quality and freedom so be it. But in time. it'll all level off once good old American competition is restored.![]()

Yes, heard it on the news tonight but didn't get much detail as I was doing 12 other things. There will be more info in coming days. Kodak certainly has the buildings - miles of them - so hopefully this will lead us forward. Kodak slipped badly behind Japanese camera/film production. They need something too.

Kodak stock is way up today thanks to the news.

For a company that has never done this ever, it will be a fiasco getting started. hopefully, a year or two from now when they start manufacturing, we will benefit. I am just always a little leary. Because they aways say one price, then costs go up, and we get the brunt of it. I will happy, no...ecstatic, to see drugs made here. It is not just the cost, which I think wll not go down, it is the safety which will be improved. I have been been the guinea pig for 4 drugs that were recalled. The last , the Valsatan fiasco, really affected me. It is not that India did it once....they contaminated it 3 times. We never know what will happen. My stomach is messed up due to the Valsartan contamination. I was one who was taking it for months before they knew the foul up was cancerous.

Kodak can do it! Remember just months ago auto manufacturers switched over to making breathing devices!! And they did it quickly and efficiently!
