Thought I would share a beautiful picture taken yesterday of the bay very close to where I live in NJ.   I have posted pictures of the ocean where my cousin lives, but this picture is of the bay where I live.

Although I do not live on the water, for decades now I have lived very close to either the Atlantic Ocean or to the bays near my homes.  I'd chose to buy on a bay if I wanted to live on the waterfront.  I like the view better, and I find bayfronts quieter (less wind and wave action) and somewhat safer, too.

@ciao_bella thank you for posting the pic.  I am totally not a water person (I don't even know how to swim) but enjoy seeing the water scenes.  I think that is how I get my level of "water".  Lol.  

Your view is magnificent.  Btw, I made absolutely sure that my son knows how to swim (several levels of classes at the Y) since he was a small child.  He and his sons love the water!

So pretty! 

I live a block and a half from the bay, so no view.  People flock up the streets every day to watch the sunsets. 

I like riding the 5 blocks to the ocean to watch the sunrise more.  So no view of the ocean either!  Poor me!  (But I flipping love where I live.)
