Noticing this model on air wearing Sketchers with a tattoo along the side of her foot very large and noticeable. I would think that they would not use a model with a huge tattoo modeling a ballet sneaker.. it kind of looks tacky I think selling shoes. Plenty of models without a big tattoo on their foot that could have modeled the shoe.
I am not against tattoos but just think there is a time and a place to show them and on a model modeling a shoe, it just is not a great look.

If I was running a modeling agency, scouting new talent,
if someone showed up with a tattoo anywhere......"NEXT!"
That would be my line-in-the-sand.
Never could understand why a model, using her skin as her resume,
would subject her views to a prospective employer. And if they
did hire her, they have to take extra time/effort to cover.
Nope. There are plenty of models out there without tattoos.

It's 2017 and people shouldn't be discriminated against especially for something that doesn't affect their ability to the job. Which this doesn't at all,

Well, I have a different perspective (but, I have an ankle tattoo so I am biased). I think that tattoos are so much more accepted and now in the mainstream. If it is an unacceptable design, that is a different issue.

I would think if the Q had an issue with it, the tattoo could be easily covered with makeup.
Apparently they don't think it's a problem. Or they haven't noticed it yet.

The audience who is buying a product might not be offended by the models who sport their tatoos. I think it's a generational thing.

I understand your point ~ however, maybe this particular look would appeal to someone else. They are modeling for all buyers ~ I appreciate the inclusiveness : )

For me it would not have anything to do with the decision to buy a shoe nor would it bother me to see it during the modeling of the shoe. A few of the shoe vendors even have them. As long as it's not offensive, I have no issues.

Doesn't bother me at all.

You seem to pick some good topics for discussion. That's what I like about you.
