Oznell, did you live down there or were you visiting???? It's always fun to talk to somebody who has been in your neck of the woods (or your bend in the river-depending where you live!)

I lived there, Poodlepet2, for about 12 years.  Eventually got a job working for the state as a social worker.  I first lived in an apartment on St. Charles, and then various other locations, all Uptown.  I was never too far from the Carrollton district, therefore the importance of the Camellia Grill!

Hi @Oznell

I put up a link here of MG recipes, but it was taken down and posted on the Kitchen board, if anyone wants to check it out.

I wonder why they moved it, Noel7?   Oh well, who knows the reasoning of the powers that be.  Those are wonderful dishes and tempting pictures, and I hope people try some of them out...

I don't know @Oznell

I understand they don't want Chat to be a recipe board, but many of us here have talked about certain holidays and that talk included a few recipes.  I even posted photos of nail art for several holidays.

I'd have had to have posted all those on at least three different boards, but last year it was OK.  Nothing was taken down.

@Noel7

My apologies, I was attempting to merge and move the thread and it backfired! Sorry!

Oznell, I went to nursing school at Touro and graduated from Dominican College: wow!

I could be wrong, but aren't you in Philly now? You can't tell me somebody does not not celebrate 'Gras somewhere in the Italian Market section!  There has to be an Italian version of King Cake there-and I know they get some great fish during Lent!

Noel, I've seen the same thing and I don't know if the mods are too busy filtering or what.....

I move that we form our own carnival Krewe and we can call it "The Krewe of Q"!  Since Noel7 has been the Queen of Mardi Gras Traditions-including great food-I nominate her as Grand Marshall!

@Oznell, llet's hop a plane and go to NOLA!  We can parade right down St. Chucks after Comus! Since Noel7 is coming from California, she will be arriving late in Her Majesty's Royal style!

Rex, your days are over: this is a new age! We are egalitarian!

Now, we have to pick a theme......

Let the fun begin!

Oznell, were you there when Cafe Banquette was there?  We shall meet there then proceed towards the CBD......maybe the mods here can meet us at Galliere Hall and give us unlimited spending power on the Q! ( Well, Rex will have, by then, have been given the Key to the City: I want something out of this)!!!

Oh, I think @BethQVC has Corporate on-and they say no to unlimited spending on the Q....but that's ok: I will take a "As Is" something in my size! Yeah!
