@Imaoldhippie @It's not a scam. It's a billing error from AT&T.

@shoesnbags How would a scammer know the exact due dates for our bills?

I'm not sure that the due date is correct on mine. I have autopay, and my account shows that it was just paid on Dec. 31. But I'm wondering if AT&T was hacked maybe? Either that or the customer service person I spoke to made a mistake when he said that no email was sent to me from AT&T.

I don't think a legitimate email would abbreviate January. I wonder what shows up when hovering over the links in the email.

As I said in my original post, the correct email address shows up when hovering. No long string of letters, numbers, etc. like you usually see with a scam email.

It's the blue links in the body of the email I'm wondering about. They probably don't show true AT&T links. In Windows, if you hover over a link, the actual link will appear in the lower left side of the screen just above the task bar.

OK, I went back and hovered as you said, but I can't tell if the link is legit from looking at what pops up at the lower left of my screen. It starts off looking correct but then ends in a string of letters and numbers that stretches across the page. Never having hovered over a link before I don't know if that's normal.
