A SCAM I HAVEN'T SEEN BEFORE

An e-mail from Xfinity saying that our mailboxes had been closed and that they were opening new mailboxes.  Asked us to click on a link to "relog-in"(sp).  Other sentence errors, too.

Did not bite.  Put the message in my Hold box for future reference if needed.

Be careful

I haven't seen that one BUT I did get several calls from Comcast/Xfinity telling me that my modem/router was not sufficent and would I log into my computer and take several steps so they could get into my internet and help me. I said no way and hung up. A week later I received another similar call along the same lines. This time he wanted me to go into my computer and give him info relating to my acct. I said no and he sd I will give you my name and phone number so you can verify my identity. I called Xfinity and asked them why I was getting these phone calls and that I was supposed to "verify" the info. The Xfinity employee told me that the whole thing was a scam and you could never verufy someone's position ion the company that way and the info he was asking was to hack my account. I was told I would never receive a call from them unless my acct was very late or if I was already on the phone with them and we got disconnected they would immeidately call back! The scammers are getting better. Be careful what info you give anyone on the phone!
