Still waiting for that "creepy evil pattern" to be explained.
Considering the McDonald's incident with the 2 cups of coffee hit the news just as much as the Popeye's incident.
Somebody died at Popeye's and a worker at McD's was severely burned.
I would think we all would be discussing the crimes instead of looking for yet another nail to pound.

We now live in the age of the perpetually angry and offended. Tonight I read about a woman who went into Walgreens to buy cold medicine and when she turned the corner of an aisle, there was a man stuffing merchandise into his pants who threatened to shoot her in the parking lot if she said anything to the manager. Apparently Walgreen's policy is to let thieves take whatever they want and employees are told to not attempt to stop them or challenge them. Amazing. That's the crazy world we live in now. Very sad. I and my children were not raised that way! I guess I am old-fashioned...I pay for what I get at the store....

The woman said she got threats for disrespecting Beyonce.
For God's sake people, she's an entertainer. Her nickname might be Queen Bey or some such nonnsense, but she is not a Queen.
Why bring this up now? Slow day? And what does this have to do with a fried chicken sandwich?

I worked in retail way back in the 1980's. We were told NEVER to try to stop a shop lifter because they could be dangerous. Yes, I said the 1980's! Policy was to watch them and call security.

Not sure how this is rhetorical unless it's being used incorrectly.
There are people on this board that become unhinged at grocery stores so I guess you don't have to look far.

If you don't know what the pattern is, how can you be sure that the McD incident isn't included?

@JaneMarple I used that as an example of stupid things people threaten violence over.
Her fans threatened this woman's life.
A man died over a sandwich.
A woman burned with hot coffee over a mistake.
I think it's out and out nuts.
I would only harm someone if my life or that of my family was in imminent danger.

The man did not die over a sandwich. He died because he was the very unfortunate victim of a psychopath. If not him at this Popeyes, the other man probably would have snapped in a different circumstance - road rage, at the grocery, etc.

And obviously the killer didn't get to try the sandwich. I kind of doubt he stabbed someone and then cooly remained in line to put in his order.
One person pushing another, bumping into someone, giving someone a funny look, butting in line, "You lookin at me??" yadda yadda. Nothing new there. Those have been the starts of bar fights since taverns were first invented back in ye olden days. I'm glad neither had a conceal carry weapon or there might have been even more victims.
