Re: A Rare Bald Eagle Trio—Two Dads and a Mom

@Mz iMac ...Thank you so much for that update on E3...Where did you see it posted, as it isn't under the cam with the other updates?

I'm so relieved and happy that E3 is doing well....just taking a litte longer than his/her siblings...but definitely a strong, determined and brave little eaglet...Soon he/she will be soaring high! Heart

Re: A Rare Bald Eagle Trio—Two Dads and a Mom

No updates on the site about E3 yet.  When I view the nest from time to time, I see E3 flapping around in the nest & on the lower branch/launching pad. Smiley Very Happy

As of this minute, it is still sitting on the high branch.

If I am still around this evening, I will attempt to take a pic of E3 sleeping/resting in the nest & post same.

@MyShadowLove

I think I made a "boo-boo"

That eaglet is actually E2. Smiley Surprised

I was on another website & a poster submitted a YT video from yesterday (6/18) claiming it's E2 making a crashing landing & missing the nest.  Then you see it trying to climb the branches to get into the nest.

The crash landing starts at 32 seconds.........

A pic this poster posted from yesterday (E2???)  Looks like E3 to me.  Can't tell these eaglets apart now.  All I know is that E3 is smaller than the other 2 & this one is small.

Sooooooo.....if that is E2, then still no update on E3.

@Mz iMac ...Aww, the poor little thing had a difficult time there!....After looking at the video, I would tend to agree with you and say that it looks like E3 since he/she is the runt taking a longer time fledging and taking flight...I'm also going by the previous pictures that you posted of E3...Are Starr and Valor I & Valor II still there providing care?

I just checked before posting and the little eaglet is resting in the nest now!

It certainly would be appreciated if the USFWS would post an update for everyone!...It's been over a week since their last posting.

Thanks so much for keeping us informed the best you can...very much appreciated!

While searching the web looking for updates on E3, I found the following which is time/date stamped....

So I guess we can all assume that E3 survived & doing well????

If that is the case........

Took photo this AM (6/21).  Who is this?

I still suspect it's E3

@Mz iMac ...Yes, I just checked again and I think it is E3 also and he/she is now feasting on something...I also just saw Starr or it could have been one of the males perched on a branch, so it is good to know that they are also still in the area and providing care.

@Mz iMac ...Oh my goodness, I was trying to figure out what it could be as it definitely didn't look like a fish!....Whatever it was,  E3 was standing right on it and pecking and feasting away!..There were no sounds of distress so, hopefully, it was a quick kill!

This is the part where I quickly back away!

Well, we definitely know now that all appears to be going well with the family!

Re: A Rare Bald Eagle Trio—Two Dads and a Mom

Just now checked and there is one of them in the nest eating. Wish we knew for sure who that is.

 @Mz iMac , how are you getting those wonderful closeup shots? Everything I’m looking at is farther away.

@Teddie

I view on "full screen."  My comp screen is 27", so that helps. Smiley Happy

It's raining & the eaglet is now sitting on the high branch/launch pad.
