Interesting, but you're gonna need a LOT more fingers than that if someone says "How many Le Creuset pots do you have?" ![]()
Just used a small flat oval one at noon for a chicken pot pie! (With that stuff we don't talk about and white wine for the sauce with the veggies.) It was wonderful!

I use A.
Depending on what you do with your thumb and index finger, someone in the deaf community might think you are signing nine if you use B...

Cant remember having to hold up three fingers. But my first inclination would be to do A. However my fingers dont quite work well enough to do A clearly, and i can do B more easilly.

I can't show any of my fingers because my hands are in a fixed fist position. Sometimes when I give a friendly wave at a person they think I'm shaking my fist at them!...LOL!![]()

A......index finger, middle finger, ring finger

C: Thumb, index, middle. That's how my German mama taught me.![]()

Yeah, (bolded by me) I think we're talking both hands and both feet! I got a new one last month. Stupid! But I wanted another 1qt round in a dif color (my other one is red, which I love) and had some windfall so I just did it. It's purdy - it's called 'oyster'.
Well, even so (hehe), as much as I've heard about your chicken pot pie, I'd definitely be game.
For that sort of thing, what I do these days is get one of the Marie Callender turkey pot pies. There is a smallest one that's just perfect for me. The larger one has about 1200 calories and is just way too much.

I've never used my hand to indicate "3."

Me, either. When would this even happen?
And when would it happen frequently enough to notice that people do it differently?
Didn't you ever got to the ballgame and the vendor asks "HOW MANY DO YOU WANT LADY?" And you raise your hand to show how many??? LOL!!!
This has been fun and interesting. I am thinking maybe the German influence is in Oklahoma and Texas area because so many people in northern Ok and parts of Texas were German settlers coming here. Maybe? You think???
Um, no. What does this have to do with which fingers anyone raises?

I've never done either. Never had the need to.
