The suspect is said to be a male in his mid-twenties and is a college student, but not at the University of Idaho where the victims were students. He was taken into custody around 3 am this morning by Scranton police and the FBI. Update coming today at 1pm ET. The suspect appeared in court this morning. This info is from a high-ranking law enforcement official according to AP

I hope they got the right guy.  I would love to know his motivation, as I am sure everyone would.  Such a horrible crime.

Apparently, authorities have been on this persons trail and kept details of the investigation confidential to avoid tipping off the suspect.

I just read another article that the police knew who they were looking for and tracked him down to Pennsylvania.

From what I've read @ValuSkr he was taken into custody in the Poconos, perhaps they took him to a courthouse in Scranton. I used to live in Pike County and familiar to the area.

I am glad they caught the person. I thought it was going to be a cold case. Hopefully, everything moves forward.
