Just about...

Dirty clothes in the laundry room ... check. Dust bunnies in the corner ... check. Dust on the furniture ... check. Yep, house is back to normal!

House was back to its pre Christmas state last weekend. Today, it's a wee bit busier. DD and soon to be SIL are coming over for dinner. Turkey breast in the crock pot, lemon cake baked, dining room table set. Love having family over!

LOL.
I still have presents sitting in the corner. Haven't had a chance to get together with step-daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. They chose to spend Christmas day with her mother and step father, who are both unemployed, and son-in-law's parents, who are also unemployed. Now dad and step-mom are expected to figure out how to get together when son-in-law only has Monday and Wednesday off work, and we only have weekends off. I'm thinking the unemployed family members could have made themselves available any Monday or Wednesday.

yep, it feels normal around here with the exception of lots of laundry. With the cold temps, more layers are being worn.

Accommodate the working parents? Surely you jest? (being said with my best sarcastic look) LOL I just put one gift back in the bedroom. Friends that didn't make it by. No worries ... they are getting married in April, so I'll just change the wrapping paper.
Invite the over to eat one night and have them pick up the pizza on their way. Munch on pizza and give them their gifts. Enjoy the grandchildren with theirs.

Our house has been back to normal from Christmas since New Years Day when we took down everything and put it away. We do that every year while the pork and kraut is cooking..lol.
Im not normal though (haha trying to have a sense of humor!) I have bronchitis and an ear infection. Am on anti-biotics. I blame the in laws. Went there out of town on Christmas Day and everyone was sick (didn't know till we got there). So of course my husband got it first (hes asthmatic so he gets sick easily), so it was only a matter of time!
