@Noel7  Did the hulking she-devil do any permanent damage... as in,  did she break anything?   Such a shame to work hard getting everything perfect,  then have a mischief - maker ruin it all.

@Kachina624

Hi Kachina, so far I don't see any breakage, but I only looked quickly.  The village is laid out across the top of a large oak entertainment center, so my tall DH will have to do the reaching, I can only get to the front pieces.  I got to it just as the vintage red truck with Christmas tree atop was sliding off.

It can be fixed, and we do love Taffy, she's funny and loving.  She lets me pick her up, flip her upside down and cover her tummy with kisses.  She's actually very gentle.

@Noel7  Sounds as though she's forgiven.

@Noel7 Oh you mean The Originals I think? The CW spin off show from Vampire Diaries and set in New Orleans?

Freyja is a blue colorpoint longhair. We got her and her brother Thor from the wildlife rehab my daughter volunteers at. They had taken her feral mom and kittens in. Mom couldn't be tamed so she was TNR'd and returned to a stable feral colony at a farm. Here is a more recent picture of her and Thor. He was the only one that wasn't a colorpiont in the litter.

Re: A Mini Christmas Disaster

Merry Christmas, Everyone! Heart

I couldn't help but share the laughter and the frustration at all of this as I read through your posts!

We stopped trying to put up an artificial tree, because of having the lights played with and the cords chewed on by our various kitties over the years.

That, plus they'd either try and climb the tree or try and pull it down.

They would also take off the bottom ornaments and play with them, or pull off the ornament hooks and you all know how dangerous that can be.

I also had a plastic Christmas village chewed on, and I tried to salvage it the best that I could, too.

Hi @Noel7,

You have your hands full with a Tortie. Smiley Very Happy Smiley Wink Heart

They're supposed to be as feisty and as fun-loving as tabbies.

Our girl is a tabby, and if it's one thing that tabbies do well, it's play and get into mischief.

They're very affectionate and curious, and they like to be right in the middle of everything, to see what's going on.

Just look at Irishgirl's kitty. That's right up a tabby's alley, climbing in a Christmas tree! Smiley Wink

@Noel7 I realize this not a Taffy cat. I wonder if IMG_2735.JPGTaffy is thinking this:

They are both beautiful @jaxs mom .

The TV show was a takeoff on the original Witches of Eastwick.  I can't remember the exact wording of the name.

One of the daughters may have had that name, I don't know the spelling but I think it was pronounced Fraya.  Ring a bell?
