deep, wasn't' it you who mentioned in the past few weeks this was all a well conceived gimmick on the part of A&E, GQ magazine and Phil? I remember replying, "hmmmm."

I wonder if anyone who is upset about this (not necessarily just here, but in general) found the same ire when Michael Vick's sponsors offered him contracts after his heinous deeds. Don't think Phil did anything as terrible as Michael did, yet so many (again, not necessarily here) thought he had a right to go on and earn a living.

Wonder how the gun company and others feel about more "weird" comments made by the patriarch some years ago? He was speaking about marrying under age girls. "They got to where they're getting hard to find, mainly because these boys are waiting 'til they get to be about 20 years old before they marry 'em," Robertson says in a video clip that resurfaced Monday. "Look, you wait 'til they get to be 20 years old, the only picking that's going to take place is your pocket. You got to marry these girls when they are about 15 or 16. They'll pick your ducks."

Re: A Match Made in Marketing Heaven

Somehow I doubt this was the GQ author's intention when he wrote the original article. However, it is highly likely that Mosberg saw the degree of support that Phil received following A&E's suspension and thought he would be good for their brand. I suspect they are probably right.
