Why did you post since you say anything at all about the case.  It has been all over social media for weeks so most people know of it.  It's the French woman who was subjected to years of rapes by strangers orchestrated by her husband who drugged her.

Yes.  It's shocking that so many here have jumped right to victim blaming.   Why did she stay with him?  Seriously?  Why would anyone assume she knew and was complicit by staying with him?  She's incredibly brave by going public with the horrors when she didn't have to.

The husband drugged her.

Her husband told the other men that it was ok with her and something she agreed to do.  Some walked out when they realized she was drugged, others stayed.  Different charges for each group.

We should all pass on elaborating and instead pray for her so she can live the remainder

of her life date and in peace.

Ever heard of what happens to abused women, what the dynamic is? How they're so beaten down mentally and in every other way that they don't believe they deserve anything better? That they see no way out of it? That they think if they somehow escape who is going to believe them? Where are they going to go, what are they going to do?

No one here can ever have any idea because they haven't lived in this woman's shoes.

@occasionalrain@elated@Tinkrbl44    The poor woman never knew what was happening to her. She was being drugged and was unconscious during the horrific events.

She didn't know until the police showed her the videos that her husband had filmed of her being abused.. He also had a camera hidden in their bathroom and had put videos of her and their daughter on the internet.

 He was arrested for other charges of assaulting women and this lead the police to discover his heinous crimes.

 She was losing her cognitive abilities, from being drugged for ten years and her children and she herself thought she was developing dementia.

 She had no idea of what her husband of 50 years, was doing to her. 

He has to be one of the most despicable excuses for a human being, that I have ever heard of. He even admitted being guilty of these crimes. So far, they have identified 50 of the men involved.  That poor woman!

@Pezzie   Exactly!  She didn't even know until the police showed her the videos. I can't even imagine how shocked she must have been. That had to be the worst betrayal ever by a husband.

He even hid a camera in their bathroom and put videos of their daughter on the internet.

The poor woman has experienced cognitive decline from being drugged for ten years.

@DottieBlue   You are correct. This woman only found out about all this, when the police showed her the videos.

I immediately thought that this is probably happening to others without their knowledge.

Her children had taken her to doctors for symptoms that she was having and the doctors didn't recognize what was happening to her. Who would suspect such a thing.

They thought that she had dementia or Alzheimers and couldn't

remember how she was getting STD's. Ten years of being drugged was affecting her cognitive abilities.
