Am in midst of travel in Europe do hope this goes through - have worked diligently to stop greyhound racing in my state AZ and last dog race will be end of June yahoo! Now we have to take care of greyhounds as the "caring " owners do not want them if they are not making money.  They are the loveliest animals and if you saw the way they are treated just not good.  But we have result.

Now working to aid the greyhounds in Spain their treatment is horrific.

Wanted to share some good news whilst on my travels.  Hugs to my pals on Can We Talk.

That is good news. I have neighbors who rescue Greyhounds, they are such elegant dogs.

This is great news!!  I positively abhor animal racing.  It's barbaric and that it is legal in so many ways is heartbreaking.

Now if they would get rid of horse racing, that would be great.

Good to hear!   I'd take a greyhound but I have 3 rescue cats and they wouldn't understand.

As a greyhound owner, I commend you!  I hope they continue breeding so people can adopt those wonderful animals!

@dulwich, good to hear from you - wondered where you'd gone off to!

I have always been supportive of those working on ending the racing, and especially finding homes for the greyhounds. I've never been in a position to do it, but they are sweet dogs. I used to have a whippet.
