There was a time when both sisters wore a lot of unusual choices.  Real head-scratchers.  This dress is a huge improvement and she looks so much better.  Good advice is being given.

I saw a little online about this wedding ... wasn't it held on a Thursday?   Who gets married on a Thursday?  I'm sure they could have gotten the venue of their choice on a weekend, lol.

They all look elegant and beautiful.  Beatrice in particular looked beautiful.  She was pure perfection in both outfits.  It's not a new thing, both Beatrice and her sister lost weight and upped their fashion game several years ago.  It's apparent that they have very good stylists.  Their mother looks fabulous too.

for many muslims, the "weekend" is friday and saturday. there was a national holiday planned for this wedding day, so they received a bonus extra day (three day weekend) by having the ceremony and national holiday on a thursday. this is my reasoning and not necessarily THE reasoning.

 I agree with you on "almost" everything. I too think Beatrice and Eugenie look fabulous.

 I think Queen Maxima's décolletage could be a tad higher - just an inch or two - but I'm sure the King was happy! 

I love, love, love Princess Elisabeth's gown! She looks beautiful, and as you say, "The gown doesn't wear her." 

I'm just not a fan of the Sheikha's outfit. 

Kate looks beautiful, as I always think she does. But what is that yellow mini pocket square on her front? I'm not crazy about that. I think it competes with the pretty rosette on her belt.

The Queen’s Royal Order brooch worn by Kate features a jewel encased image of the Queen pinned on a chartreuse yellow ribbon and worn on the left shoulder.

The miniature portrait, painted on glass, depicts the Queen as a young woman.

The brooch is a personal memento rather than a state decoration but can be worn to special occasions.

The honour holds special significance for the Duchess as it represents her growing role within the Royal Family.
