Thank you for this thread, the photos and stories.  I never watched LHOTP when it was on the air. My daughters were addicted to it and still watched it almost everyday when they can.  I remember the show being so beloved by the kids back when it first aired,  when their Dad turned it off in favor of Monday night football they ran down the block to their friends, lol.  Those were the days of lousy color TV, with usually only one TV in household. Not too many people had two, we didn't. And once a show was aired it was gone, no streaming, internet, dvd, cd, vhs, it was gone. Sometimes a few would be rerun in summer, but not all.   am 76 now, and I started watching the show in late 80's or so. I love it. For me it's relaxing and when I want the tv on for noise it it easy to listen to .  It was really a good show. I sort of poo pooped those shows like this one and The Waltons, today I love them and appreciate them so much. Great acting, story lines.
