I believe that. My two cats are supposed to be brother and sister but I KNOW they aren't. One is black and white, small and very shy. The other is orange (boy) large and will eat anything in sight 24 hours a day! He's never met a stranger and everyone loves him.

I had to adopt them together because they were soooo close. They still are. She worships him. I have pictures of her kissing him (mouth wide open). She follows him everywhere and drives him crazy. She grooms him and every now and then he grooms her but it's always lop-sided.

So, yes I believe they can love each other.

I'd bet that the two of them would be a lot of fun to have around the house. I hope they get adopted into a good home.

we also have a cat and dog. We got our dog first then the cat a year later both babies. It's funny watching them both It's like the cat will meow and the dog make this growl sound. When the dog outside the cat sit at the window waiting for the dog to come back in meowing. The vet can't believe it. When the stray cat come in the yard, our dog runs out the dog door barking to scare it away. Best friends Our dog is 14 now, I hate to think what is going to happen when one or other passes.
