So early November my sister purchased a Polo pull over for a Christmas gift and asked for the return policy. She was told 90 days. In the mean time the item has gone on sale and re-purchased the item @ $30.00 less and planned to return the full priced item.
So today the clerk said that she would be given a Dillards gift card and not a credit card credit because the return was greater than 30 days. She said " I thought that Christmas returns had 90 days. The manager happened to be standing there and said yes that is correct. She said, well this was to be a Christmas gift. the manager said "mam, it not Christmas yet!" She said, So ,if I wait until Dec 26th for the return then I will get a credit to my card and not a store credit. Answer: Yes.
