.......

...it's mild for North Tx in August.  And for that matter, 70s are mild for this time of year.  Are your temps higher, lower or avg this month?

Our highs and lows have been erratic and not typical for normal weather around here. Temps are either way up there or way below normals.  I never know what to expect any more.

Re: 90 is HOT but

[ Edited ]

I'm near Silicon Valley, Ca and we have had lower than normal temps so far this summer. Although, last 10 years seems our hottest month which used to August is now Sept and even 1st 2 wks of Oct!

we have had what the locals call June Gloom since April.  Fog in morning, warm afternoons, cool evenings

next week here we have been predicted for highs of 85-89, and lows of 60 to 55!   Very unusual.  But I will call it a very different year when Sept passes@,,,  usually our days in July, August and sept can run high 80's to 110.

@SilleeMee   amen to that for sure!!!   It has been nice this summer, but more like warm spring weather.  Lot more fog.

90s are doable as long as the humidity is LOW.  Humidity is the enemy unless you're a jungle lizard! (g)

We had 99 degrees the past few days. This is the third
mini heat wave we have had this summer here in Washington
State.

Oct used to be the month I would breath again and feel like I'm not suffocating.  To the grandbabies, Oct was the beginning of "Grammuffy Season".  I could finally get out and take them places and be more active with them.  But now?  Oct is almost as bad as Sept.

@monicakm   Jungle (actually beach) lizard chiming in here!  It was in the high 80's today, with 98% humidity (love) and dew point was 77.  Yep my house windows fogged up again.

I was off work today, so I spent it outside on the screen porch.  I'm NOT looking forward to fall/winter like so many of you do.  I loathe "crisp" air.  I'm a shorts and tank top person, with no jacket required 🦎

My area of the Bay Area has been, what I think anyway, glorious weather.  Cool, foggy mornings, with sun showing up most afternoons but still staying rather cool, cooler nights.  Love it.  Hate the heat.  Do not look forward to our Indian Summer which usually hits in Sept and first two weeks or so of October.  Temps have been ranging from mid 60's to mid 70's.
