How true. I used to have a boss where when she wrote your annual reviews it didn't matter how many times during the year you did good things, it went totally unacknowledged but screw up one time and it would be written 10 different  ways to reflect what a screwup your were and she made sure it would come back to haunt you forever.  I hated that company.

We do that to ourselves too.  Ever zero in on one silly thing you did and forget the victories you had?  I have.  So many perfectionists will tell you they've done that too.  We strive for perfection.  Sometimes, it's so unattainable.
