Re: 9/3 Midwest 5.6 Earthquake!

One of my favorite broadcasters on my

sports station, The Ticket, tweeted this...giggle:

"So earthquake felt in Ok, Tx, Kan, Ark, Iowa, & Neb. On the 1st Saturday of college football. The Gods have spoken, this is the new Big 12."

Bless your heart....you must have been dog-tired...deep asleep!!

On Twitter, someone from Denton is saying "my dogs were barking!"

Love how animals are so intuitive.

Yeah, not all of them! *lol*

My cats never give me a heads up on when an earthquake is going to happen. *lol*

Ha....well, they ARE cats, after all.

"How does this earthquake affect me?" Smiley Tongue

Man, I don't see how y'all handle this in California...and Alaska!

Ooof...weird feeling.

North Texas usually doesn't get very much, weather wise.

We have a rare tornado, but that's about it.

But whenever "Midwest" & "earthquake" are said in the same breath, "Fracking" is always mentioned.  There's a long history.

"60 Minutes" did a story last year (I believe) regarding fracking, earthquakes, and Oklahoma specifically.  Oklahoma now has considerably more earthquakes than any other state.  Scary.

I'm in central Iowa and didn't feel anything.  Hope everyone is ok.

Yup, our quake was right on the fault line.

And people think I'm crazy for being over prepaired for a major earthquake.

I have pretty much anything one could possibly need to survive on one's own after a devistating quake.

Food, medical supplies, water, tent, sleeping bag, flashlights, just to name a few.

So. Alaska had 10 quakes on 9/2/16

81 quakes in the past 7 days

316 in the past month

6,290 in the past year

These states aren't for sissies...Unfortunately, I'm a sissy when it comes to earthquakes.
