I just took a quick glance at my line-up for television programming tomorrow, and there isn't really isn't anything that's dedicated to 9/11.

I think that's sad.

I just have basic cable.

I will be honoring the event without watching anything on tv.

While I think programs like this are educational for those who were too young to remember or were not born yet, I vividly remember that day and all the overkill on details that followed endlessly and will never forget.  I don't really want to see it over and over again!  I would hate to be family of those who lost their lives to have to relive it and even fell obligated to participate. While some may want to, I sure would want my privacy.

I don't need to watch TV to remember that day. I lived thru it. I honor the victims by doing something that they were robbed of...going on with my life.

There were quite a few shows on in the last few days here....

I can't watch. I watched some of them in the past and it is just too sad, and it ramps up my anxiety something terrible...

You HOPE the ending will be different and it is not...

One of the programs was filmed as it happened, and it ends with an entire line up of all the first responders who lost thier lives...That show was so chilling..the sounds and sights as it happened...

My flag is out. Put your flag out if you have not already. I will be thinking and remembering the event today as a way to honor the dead.

Something I do is play "Going Home" on my accordion at sunset. I do not use the buttons and it sounds a LOT like bagpipes. I jsut go out in my yard and play to the woods and sky...

I recall when I lived in NYC, my Dad used to take us to watch the construction of the towers and to see the first landings and takes offs of the first 747's at LaGuardia airport. Seems like a million years ago...

Check out "Going Home-Libera" on You Tube or any version with bagpipes.
