Hope you get electricity back soon @cherry. Ours goes out all the time. You are right, a generator is a must.

Re: 800,000 without power in the mitten

It's slow going, my husband says he thinks a tree limb is down, and  laying on a garage, with a electrical wire. It looks like they might be waiting for reinforcements

Just our luck it's not a straight forward fix. Oh well ,at least they are here. I hope we get power back tonight

Re: 800,000 without power in the mitten

our friends are here from Michigan she was talking to her kids yesterday - they have been without power since Wednesday evening but as of this morning it was restored.

Stay warm - I remember we were w/o power during Hurricane Sandy for 10 days...it was horrible!

The little things we take take for granted "electricity". Good thing you have a generator -- we moved and now we high insurance rates for the "we might have hurricane".

Talk about heavy winds. This little girl in Ohio almost got blown away, opening the front door in her house. Terrifying for the mother, but I read that the little girl laughed about it!

Re: 800,000 without power in the mitten

We drove past  the area that they were working on. No one is there, and not a sign of any type of work to be seen

The tree limb looks more like 1/2 a tree.I think they needed more people to work on this, than they allowed for. We might not get our power back tonight, by the way things look
