We live in upstate New York near Lake Ontario. Snow didn't stop for 2 days. 80 inches of snow and 50-60 winds. Worst we have seen in years! We could not see more than a few feet ahead and the windows were packing snow on them. This is like it was in the 60's. My husband almost had a heart attack with the stress of hours outside. Yesterday he got what he could off the house roof due to a chance of the roof collapsing.

Not far from us they had 94" of snow! You need snow come and get some. This morning is clear but really cold.
Glad to share! 😊

@MKR14 It's amazing how much snow has fallen in your area and western NY.  Please be safe.  I live in eastern Dutchess County, and we have been having some snow/ice, but not dumped on all at once. Crazy weather.

@MKR14 Wowza that's a lot!

We've had about 3 snows (can't really call them storms) the past couple weeks, here in CT (I'm in southern CT, along the shoreline...we get less, inland gets more)...and luckily no time-stopping blizzards this year...but COLD so it's gotten icy. Accumulations have been about 5" at a time.

Hire someone if you can?! They always worn against older men going out to shovel!!

Stay safe!

We've never had that much because we don't have lakes!  The heaviest direct show fall was 32" in own day back in 2016.  The lack of natural lake is the one feature Maryalnd doesn't have.  I can't imagine a snow fall that heavy!  Upstate New York IS pretty. I've been there.  And the summers are really nice.

From the internet:

The lake-effect snowstorm that occurred from February 3–12, 2007 was one of the largest and longest in history. It dumped 141 inches of snow in Redfield, New York over 10 days.

@MKR14  A cardiologist once stated that once you reach 40 you should not even push a shovel. Be careful

@MKR14   OMG...stay warm and safe!!! We're expecting 2# of snow through tomorrow...the sand trucks were out and schools closed and it's like the world stops here. No one in NC is prepared for winter weather. The grocery stores clear out of milk and bread and frozen pizza as soon as the weather is reported. It's gotten kind of funny.

@MKR14  I went to college 35 miles west of Buffalo, NY.  I know the kind of snow you're talking about.  It's other-wordly for sure!

Please, please stay safe!

They closed the City of Oswego yesterday and if you were on the streets you would get a ticket due to the danger. Only emergency vehicles were allowed.  Who would want to go on the roads when they were plugged up with snow and you couldn't see two feet ahead of yourself!

Actually sunshine right now. Still 18 degrees.
