She was way better than some professional singers.  The best I have heard since Witney Houston.  Tough song to sing and she did it proud.

But I agree...she’s channeling her Christina Aguilera w/ the ‘growls’

and the ‘just-pick-a-note’ type of singing she’s famous for.

Mariah Carey tends to run up&down the scales, as well.

I see their influence w/ these younger singers all.the.time.

She has a very strong voice that, with professional training, will become mature and even stronger.

However, I'm not a fan of the embellishments no matter the singer.

And, she sang the word "banner" incorrectly, as many do.

She has great natural talent, but they need to have a professional teacher monitor how she sings, before she damages her vocal cords.
