The picture of the piglets is cute and made me smile. Growing up on a working farm where everything we did was for the purpose of feeding our family, we were taught early on that the animals were not our pets. We fully understood that we were going to eat the chickens, turkeys, pigs, and cows, so they never had names.

They are cute when they are small, but people get rid of them when they grow up. There is a a pig sanctuary here that has about 600 pigs that people no longer want.

That's awful but it doesn't surprise me. Idiot parents who buy pets for their children, children get bored taking care of said pets, pets end up in shelters and/or put down.

Remember the movie 101 Dalmations and the rush to purchase puppies? So many ended up that way.

Little piggies are cute but pork skeeves me out at the market
