7 Hot Dates: Fresh, Organic Dates

[ Edited ]

7 Hot Dates

Have you ordered fresh, organic dates from this California date farm?

Ever year around this time, about a month or until they sell out, they offer unusual varieties of dates...man oh man they are good!

I just ordered a wet-pack sampler of these varieties:

Medjool (so much better than the ones in the stores...taste like maple)
Khadrawy (super soft & super sweet!
Halawy (tastes like caramel & melts in your mouth...wow!)
Honey (hybrid from seedlings...mixture of all flavors)

My favorite way to eat is stuffed into a stalk of celery. Get that sweet-salty thing going on...so gooey-crunchy!

Have you heard/ordered from 7 Hot Dates? Nothing in the stores can remotely compared. Highly recommend.

@Lucky Charm

Think of them akin to 'fine wine' regarding taste & price.

I believe they are most appreciated in their most natural state, but having them inside a baked item would make that very, very special!  Love the Halawys...caramel flavor is the best!  Write back if you ordered/tasted..!

I actually have the website up and started the ordering process (and to check out shipping), but it kind of got hung up on paypal.  I have a new computer and that may be the cause.  Have to head out for a few hours but will look into it, the site is still up.

Re: 7 Hot Dates: Fresh, Organic Dates

i am not a big fan of dates, but my family is......i usually buy dates from middle eastern stores......mostly medjool or deglet noor.

if you ever want a different appetizer, try removing the pits, stuffing the date with crumbled feta cheese, and then sprinkle ground walnuts on top. this also works well with figs.

there is a milkshake place in southern california.....cant remember if it is in sd county or riverside county. my s/o says they make the best date shakes in the world.

I have purchased many times from Oasis Date Gardens in California.  Their product is excellent quality.  This company gives interesting tours of their gardens if you are in the area.

Thank you for mentioning this farm. I never cared for dates but I have come to really appreciate them in the last year or so.  I put a couple in my smoothies when I make them.  I think they are delicous and those are the medjools I pick up from Costco's, so I cant imagine the taste of them fresh. I am looking forward to them.

Although, I must say, I cant believe I just paid that price for dates. LOL.  A bit pricey so I hope I like them. I cant imagine I wont.  They have already shipped.

The Oasis farm, once you add in shipping, is a bit cheaper.  They were sold out of most varieties.

Anyway, I cant wait to try them. Thanks for sharing.
