WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County confirmed that a 6-year-old child has tested positive for coronavirus.
Health department spokesman Alex Shaw initially told Contact 5 the child tested positive in New York, but he later said the child was never in that state.
The case is currently under investigation.
from what I read before only very young children seem to be immune to the virus.
From what I have read, if small children get it, it might be mild but the danger is they can still spread it to more vulnerable members of a community.

@pitdakota Oh no-do they know transmission?
3 year old in Texas was from father travelled and passed to wife and child when he came home; he had no symptoms right away. (Air travel in USA)

@Cakers3, no they just release the age, gender, and county of residence. So no specific information on transmission.
At the press conference at 5:00 today, also released that a 6 year old has also tested positive.
Our first case in Ky was a 25 or 26 year old female that was hospitalized. She is now listed as recovered.
