@joann1218 , as others have said run it by a parent, but speaking for what my granddaughters liked at that age, they loved the tea sets geared for that age, or the kitchen-type pretend stuff, the grocery carts with the fake food.  the play-doh sets, the pretend appliances like mom or dad use, the dress-up sets.

Each kid is different...one lived for a baby doll...as many as she could get; the other came out of the womb wanting high heels and a handbag.  🤣

My suggestion would be books.Eric Carl was a big favorite in our house as well as scratch and sniff books. There’s a book called The Sweet Smell of Christmas. Children love to be read to and are learning in the process. Also, Jellycats are great gifts. My son loved all of his Gund stuffed animals when he was little. I don’t know if Gund is still around now.
Hope this helps.

@nrm - one of the Tonies in our last order was The Very Hungry Caterpilar.  I always liked the Eric Carle books when our kids were small too.

Depends....if it's just a small family party....any of the gifts mentioned would do.

If it's a big "look-at-me" house party( for the FOUR year old) with 500 invited guests, a juggler, a clown, a magician, a  five star chef and high end cocktails for the adults?

Keys to a new Lexus.

/S so don't lose your minds!!!! But....it IS today ...so there's that....

My niece’s grandchild is 3. She has very specific likes & dislikes. Last year I gave her a subscription to a book club & she received a book every month. Her parents are both teachers & have always read to her every night since she was a baby. She also likes jewelry & I gave her a sweet little heart locket which she loves. On her second Christmas, I gave her a sled.

As far as toys or entertainment, I’d ask her parents what here interests are at the moment as they go thru phases quickly.

This year I’m thinking of a toddler smart watch or camera.

When my GD turned four I bought her a kitchen that had the entire appliances of a real kitchen.  My two year old GS loved it as much as she did.  She also loved the earrings she got that year as well.  Even for a four year old some are more girly than others so that matters as well.  My GD falls in the very girly girly range, her Mom and I are not.

@beckyb1012. I wanted to post about the kitchen and I'm glad you did. So far I've given a kitchen to two different girls and they love them. The pots and pans are so cute. In fact, I like them all.

I did not get anything that nice myself growing up, just the Easy Bake oven.  I am almost ashamed to admit how childish I acted in my GD's bedroom with my GS when their parents went out to lunch.  I had soooooooo much fun playing house or "kitchen" with those two.
