3-year rabies shot for cats - question

I made an appointment, then they tell me a 3 yr shot isn't a good idea. It's been KNOWN to cause a tumor at the site.

Keep in mind this same vet treated a 2 yr. old kitten for allergies to food (it was a guess) and put him on Science Diet (that turned out to be tainted and he died)

I'm going today. I'm going to bring up the other cat if they really won't give Tucker a 3 yr. rabies shot. He's and indoor cat and it's the only shot he gets .....

Personally, I think they just want us in there once a year{#emotions_dlg.glare}

Wouldn't do it at all, but he can't be groomed at PetSmart without it and he's a seal-point ragdoll and HAS to be clipped for the summer or he'd melt into a puddle !!!! Besides, he loves the trim.
