I give you credit. I could not live there.

Here in Mesa, Arizona we were in the upper 90's and it isn't even summer yet. Prediction for Thursday the 8th is 92 hi with a low of 62. Our electric bills get higher and higher for months and months. ![]()

We've already hit 90 degrees ..... and I just read this is the third driest year in all the time they've been tracking temperatures. Almost no rain and the window for our "rainy season" is closing.
I'm guessing that California produce will be more expensive nationally this year because our crops will be smaller. Dammit.

It's warm all over. Pretty much the whole country. Rain is coming of course. Several days, we're expected. Temps back down to low 60's. This is Spring. Nice warm days, violent storms afterwards. Will be this way, peaking through May (the storms) Then it bakes in heat though the summer.

We had a cooler than normal fall/winter here in South Jersey. A pretty much normal to coolish spring so far. A few warmer days, a few cooler days. Typical spring-like weather. I've mowed the grass twice so far, which is right on average for around here. It'll get mowed again either tomorrow or Saturday.
I think our warmest day has been around 75 degrees, which is well below normal for our warmest day of the year by early April. We typically sneak in a really warm day or two with the nineties not being unheard of. I haven't even opened a window yet. The long-range ten-day forecast shows most days in the 60s going forward. The highest high temp is 73 and the lowest high is 61. Nighttime lows are between 42 and 59. If anything, we're running a bit cooler than normal overall.
Our last expected frost date is in mid-May but you can typically cheat that forward a bit. Often by the last week in April it's pretty safe to plant most things. It still pays to keep an eye on the long-range forecast, but in a "normal" year you can cheat a bit. Since this year has been running a bit cooler than normal I'll be a bit hesitant to cheat too much this year.
There's a lot of rain in the long-range forecast, but that doesn't always materialize in real life. We'll have to see what happens with that. Overall this year has been cooler than normal and about normal in terms of rainfall in my area.
