It's time to retire our 2011 Ford Flex. We no longer need seating for 7. I have loved this car, still do. It's still mechanically sound and gets good gas mileage for a "station wagon" (21.3mph). The Edge is the "little brother" to the Flex. I've been more than happy with my Explorer and Flex so I'd like to stick with the Ford family. I was instantly drawn to the Edge.
I couldn't find a 2025 Edge on any car lots. I read that Ford stopped making the Edge after 2024, BUT I saw plenty 2025 Edge vehicles on YT. Also read their production has been delayed. Not sure what to believe at this point. I know when I call around tomorrow, I'll get various answers. This is what I want but this is in Asia so I'm not sure the color combo is available here.
The Flex had this color combo too and it was my favorite but came along a year after I bought mine. Do you have an Edge Titanium? Any negatives?

I would do a bit of research on that vehicle's engine. I understand that you have two engine options, the 2.0 liter eco boost I-4 or the 2.7 liter eco boost 6 cylinder with dynamic twin turbo boost. The 2.7 liter makes about 335 horsepower and would run stronger, last longer and be much faster. However, before You buy either model, I would talk to a Mechanic and see what his/her opinion is of the "eco boost" engine. I have heard they have lots of problems as in design flaws. Just an opinion as I generally love a the Ford brand. I have heard of very expensive and frequent problems with the turbo boost.

Wow...very nice!
As for myself, I still drive my 1989 white Pontiac Firebird. I bought it used - 1 yr old in 1990 for $7,999 and still drive it today. I still enjoy driving it and all the simple features...roll down windows, sunroof and am/fm/cassette player. ![]()
I dread the day I will eventually have to change vehicles...hopefully never to be quite honest. If I do though, I will look for a used vehicle (earlier than 2000). I don't want a vehicle with all the fancy, distracting techy stuff.

Eco-Boost has been a thorn in Ford's side for years. I thought surely they would have either stopped making it or perfected it by now. I chose my Flex as a NA vs EcoBoost. Not a single engine problem. My SIL, against my advice, bought his Ford pickup with Eco-Boost. It's been a problem for him.
I don't care to have an Eco-Boost engine. I will start calling tomorrow about the 2025 Edge. Reddit is telling me it's gone but YT is saying it's coming, it's just delayed. It's not on Ford's website. I configured a 2024 Edge but it doesn't have all the cool tech the 25s have so I'm looking at a Lincoln Nautilus. Look at that dash! We're in the very early stages of new car shopping.

I love tech. And if we're buying a new car, I want as much of it as I can afford lol. What we have now was darn fancy at the time (2011). I really had my heart set on the Edge. I hope it's coming back and just delayed.
I would be happy to make the cosmetic repairs to our Flex and change the paint to black and white like in the photo above but DH said we'd still have a car with 158K miles on it. Yes dear, I realize that. Then I saw the new technology and it's calling my name. If the Edge is truly not available, the Lincoln Natilus is an option. Love the inside but the front is a bit chunky ![]()

Is this you? It's cool and I can see how someone would want to hold onto such a classic.

The safety features are worth the trade-up at some point, @Susan Louise.

I didn't see any in their inventory list. Do you think you might have seen Escape instead of Edge?

That does not really look like a Ford Edge to me but the Ford Expedition. It is very pretty. There is about a $40,000.00 price range between an Edge and a Expedition.
