2014 Winter Olympics.....Need some information

I believe they are supposed to be opening tomorrow (Thursday)......what time will they have the opening ceremonies, and what channel will be televising it?????

And, where will most of the events be televised throughout the whole competition?

showme which cable do you have? we are with comcast which has added olympics to their quick menu. and on demand too. to aid viewers. (-:

Some prelim events are tomorrow but the opening is on Friday. Since they're 11 hours ahead of us, the opening will be on NBC on February 7 at 7:30 PM ET.

My cable company is Charter......I don't know if they have added anything about the Olympics or not. Guess I better check it out.

Ok, thanks for this info. Guess that is where I will be watching it. It will be interesting to see if the opening will be at night there.....

Even if it starts in daylight, they always have them end at night for the lighting of the Olympic cauldron and fireworks.

We like watching tho we're nervous about the safety in Russia.

I sure hope nobody posts spoilers about events outcomes on the boards.

Well, this is the Q, and we know how some posters are here......But, it would be nice for those that don't know the outcome to be surprised when they watch the different events.

I just wish that the Olympics weren't being held in Russia...... Heck, they're telling folks not to put TP down the toilets, put it in the bins provided.....this is in their hotel room bath.
