Psychologically, $19 sounds affordable to most people.

$228 a year might not.

And they can say it's under $20.00 a month which also sounds better.

I have noticed lately how many of the different organizations that advertise are sounding like each other......Am thinking they must all use the same company for their advertising commercials......

And boy, they really know how to pull at our strings.......

i've noticed that. emotional appeals for so many causes. They are so completely sad: children in hospitals, abused animals wounded warriors, impoverished children---heartbreaking. $19 per month will really add up . I give to my church and Catholic Charities. I want to look up some of these on Charity Navigators.

I can't even watch some of these, they're so heart wrenching.

Similar to when a car is priced at $39,950 or a house is at $399,950.

I can't watch most of the commercials, especially the abused and neglected animals. I have to immediately change the channel. And some of them seem to go on forever.

Yep.....better than $40,000 for a car or $400,000 for a house...... Like we don't know what they are thinking.

I have to admit I am skeptical of where the money goes....I change the channel when all those sappy commercials come on....they are more of a turn off then turn on....wish they delivered those messages differently.....

I do donate to a couple of organizations...in the form of monies....also clothing and household goods to a poor church in the neighborhood....just so you don't think I am cold hearted...lol
