But yet all of these people feel sorry for Jodi for the state seeking the DP for what she did. Where is their compassion for what she did to Travis? The look on his face in the first shower picture said it all. He knew what she was going to do to him, I believe. The look was not one of him posing, but one of fear for his life.

Who in the world ever said that they feel sorry for Jodi????? Just because some of us posters are against the death penalty doesn't mean that we don't recognize the severity of this crime. Apples and oranges.

And I still fail to see the "deception" on the part of this juror - you've all been told time and again with reputable links as to what this juror disclosed.

So Jodi didn't get the death penalty. Big deal - it is what it is. I think some of you are just pullling your hair out for reasons other than feeling justice for Travis.

Agree. Not a single person ever stated she "feels sorry for JA" or has any sympathy for her.

And ITA with everything else you said.

Thank you - and let's not forget the posters who have stated that they hope JA gets killed by other inmates.

Something is seriously wrong with this over reaction to JA - it has gone beyond really caring about "justice for Travis" to wishing JA dead by other hands not tied to the execution of the DP.

I was watching a video from fox10 news in Phoenix, and they were showing were Jodi will be staying once she is sentenced. The cells look out into outdoor recreation courtyard area. Not into a hallway like she does now. There is a bank of pay phones in the courtyard where she can use 1- 15 minute a week. After 30 days it gets way better. She can have a TV in her cell, as time goes by she will get more and more privileges. Where she is going will be way better than where she is now. It is just very wrong. Poor Travis didn't have the option of staying alive, she saw to that.

I think this is why many people have a problem with a life sentence for her.

If her prison life was more of a punishment and hardship, it might be easier to accept a life sentence.

Locked up for life IS a terrible punishment.

Allowing prisoners to have some privileges benefits the jailers as much as it does the prisoners, maybe more. It keeps them occupied and "in line" - knowing that if they mess up, they will lose their privileges...

I can understand that concept but I think there are certain crimes that should not be given privileges, murder being the top one.

No matter how heinous and horrific the crime is, I always feel a sense of sadness and dread on the day any death row prisoner is finally executed. A waste of a life for a life. With that said I always feel the same way when I see photos of women walking into abo-rtion clinics. How can you feel for one and not the other.

And I respectfully disagree. It's like being asked, "So you think death threats are okay," as though it's something you are saying when it isn't.

Just as some people here are against the death penalty, others here are for it. For you it's revenge, for others it's justice. That doesn't equal "blood lust."

Whether or not you see the deception perpetrated by juror 17, others do. According to Joey Jackson, it was more than answering the question on a form. The juror should have spoken up and revealed that she has personal ties to not only Juan Martinez, but also the prosecuting office of the state of Arizona. If she had not been concerned about being ejected from the jury, she would have been forthcoming and allowed the judge to make the decision.

That's quite an assumption you've made about why people are, as you say, "pulling their hair out," about this case. Yes, I think it is a big deal that Jodi didn't get the death penalty and I certainly make no apology for feeling that way.

I think that is unfair. You had a reasonable comment going until then, friend. What are these other reasons?

You are absolutely correct. IF she were going to be in solitary with few privileges for the rest of her natural life I think most people would be satisfied.

What grinds people (well, me if nobody else) is the fact that this creep will find a way to enjoy her life in prison if she is allowed contact with others. Look at Richard Speck he was very happy in prison.

That's the thing. She will do just fine in this prison cell. Looking out into the courtyard exercise area. She will be able to find people that will gravitate to her and she will be admired by some in there, probably. She will somehow get pictures of herself out, if she has visitors, keeping herself relevant, keep on tweeting via her outside followers. She isn't really suffering the way she caused Travis to suffer, she isn't really paying for what she did. Set aside the whole DP thing. She should at least be confined to a cell for the rest of her life, instead of her eventually going into a jail like fraternity house setting. That really isn't a punishment, in my opinion.
