Re: 114 degrees-sooo hot!!!!

We are in Queen Creek, AZ and when I heard we can expect 120 degrees I  told my daughter we have to go back to California.  I don't want to spend another looooong summer here.  Surprise, she agreed, she wants to go home.  She was two months old when we moved from New York to California where we spent forty years so yes, CA is her home.  Actually I spent more years in CA than in New York where I was born and raised and CA feels more like home to me than NY.  There is just one problem and that is the cost of housing in CA, outrageous.  I am talking about Los Angeles, in the San Fernando Valley.  Some way, some how we will find a way.  In the meantime we will run the A/C 24 hours and cry when we get our electric bill.

Re: 114 degrees-sooo hot!!!!

@NativeJax ... 114! In Florida!!!  OMG! I lived on the Gulf coast in Mississippi for two years, and it was just miserable...all that humidity and heat! Being from Northern Wisconsin originally, I couldn't acclimate to it.

I have visited my sister in Southern California. One evening when we were going out to dinner, it was 105 degrees, and it felt very warm, but comfortable! No humidity. It makes such a difference. Good luck surviving your summer down there!
