I live in AZ. One of the things that helps me get through the summer heat is thinking about how nice the winter will be. Since I used to live in Chicago, I will take this heat over those winters any day.

Phoenix here also and it's gonna be around 120 this weekend and it doesn't cool town at night either. We don't have grass in our yards. Most people have desert landscape (Wouldn't want grass either) because who wants to be out there cutting it in the heat. We are surrounded by cement. At least it's a dry heat, humidity of less than 10 percent. Come on November!

Yes I am on the river and I have a pool....I could not live where there is no water!!! How do y'all survive that kind of heat? What is the electric bill like, wow!!!!!!
We stay inside just the opposite of what people do in the east. Everything is air conditioned and our electric bill is around $160.00 every month but we are on the budget plan so we pay the same every month. If we weren't our bill would probably top out at $350.00 - $400.00. It's only that high for about three or four months.

Anything over 100 is awful. We had our first day in the 90's on Saturday. Glad it went away. Only problem is it will come back at some point.

Ugh. Do you have a community pool?
