My sister and went to BJ's to get a few things and the temp when we got back to the car was 114! I am sure that was from the asphalt but it is still reading 102 by the time I got home. This is going to be a long summer! Jacksonville, Fl

@NativeJax  Whew!  That IS hot.  That's even past my comfort zone, and I'm a freeze baby.  I'd be on oxygen!  Cat Surprised

In Phoenix, we are looking for second extreme heat warning in 2 weeks.  Starting Friday 115 working up to a possible 120.  Are YOU close to water?  We are not, we live surrounded by asphalt and rocks and rocksandmore rocks.  Maybe a kiddie pool is in our future--------tedEbear

Yikes. We hit a record high Saturday at 93 and that was enough for me.

I think Lipstick Diva and I are in the same neighborhood and indeed 93 and a new record was more than hot enough for me....  I can't even imagine 114 or hotter.  You all be sure to stay properly hydrated and out of the heat as much as you possibly can.  It was hot here yesterday also (Northern Virginia) and I live in a condo where we have communal laundry rooms (no air conditioning).  I waited until 10:00 last night to do the laundry.

It was 96 Saturday in Chicago. That's a humid heat, which makes it feel even worse.

Yes. The humidity made it worse.

DH and I were gone all morning and into late afternoon and where we were it was hot and humid but super windy and the sun kept going in and out so it wasn't that bad.  At home, it was bright, sunny and no breeze.  When we got home and out of the car, it was stifling.

I really can't imagine, especially when it's high humidity.   85 degrees, once in a long while,  is tops for me.  Years ago I enjoyed warmer weather (when I was much, much younger).  But now, not so much.  I used to ask 'Why' when my mom's senior friends loved and preferred the cool weather.  Now I (finally) know.  Heart

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
