Ok..thanks for circling back. Unfortunately with or without guns, Militants (religious, racial, gender, etc., locals or half-way across the world) will always be a threat. It's hard for us normal people to understand, but 'crazies' will always be there.

I know it sounds 'Pollyanna', but we have to embrace every day we DO have. Can't sit around worrying about it. Any of us could be gone @ any second.

Are you sure? Many illegal guns in Europe come through Eastern Europe. Russian made is common.

I realize these terrorist used guns for their means to destroy but you can't classify this in the same respect as a lone wolf shooter who is just crazy.

This has more to do with the Government of France and how it handles terrorism and those that would kill innocent people. As wonderful as it is that the world has gotten small the darker side of that and its backlash can not be swept under the carpet. France recognizing known hot beds for terrorist to hide and conduct business as sovereign states has done more to advance acts like this. Their foil has come back to mock them and it is unfortunate that once again innocent people pay the price.

Today's terrorist have no qualms about using other methods to carry out their destruction this should not be a debate about Gun control. This should be a debate about stopping them in their tracks.

For the poster who believes the weapons used if found will say Made In USA, there's also Russia, Israel, and other Asian countries that are manufacturing firearms. Not just the
USA.

Watching the videos of what was captured by these gunmen, they don't seem like homegrown, garage club house guys. They appear like professional hired hit men. Not too much like the religious terror bunch that they are leading others to believe and what we are being led to believe. There's a money trail somewhere. MY take.

Absolutely. Does anyone really think that without guns, these guys will back off? Heck, they can make bombs out of normal, every day ingredients, and they've become very proficient with knives as they're the perfect beheading tool. The world can't bury their heads in the sand any longer, IMO.
