@I am still oxox We do too, but what if something happens to your computer?  Do you at least back it up on a regular basis? I don't trust automatic backups since I feel like that is how one might get ransomware.

I hope our 1099 tax forms will being sent ASAP.  We are always held up waiting for a few that are always late.

With the new tax rules giving a bonus deduction for seniors, this should be a good year.  I think we will get a  refund.

For anyone who is financing a car, be sure to wait for your interest paid info before you file.  You can deduct up to $10,000 in car interest for 2025.

@Carmie   I used to send all my income tax info to my accountant by mid February so my returns were always done by the end of February.   But the last couple years one of my 1099's have  not come in until the middle to the end of March.  So that has been causing a delay in getting my returned done.  I am not happy.

I worked in the Accounting Department my entire working career. And come ****** or high water all the different 1099s had to be postmarked by January 31. My other deadlines would have to wait. I had to work late many nights to make sure I met my deadline. Even had to drive around to different stores to get the different 1099 forms.

So I have no idea how it seems every year we get 1099s through out the entire month of February. Most of the forms do not have a postmark so I guess that is why. I know my husband wanted to mail our tax return but had to wait until we finally received all our 1099s. And it was more than one company.

@Carmie   I believe the car loan interest deduction only applies to cars Manufactured in the USA.

Yes, the car must be assembled in the US.  Here are all the details.  It is in effect until 2028, so it might be helpful if you're looking for a new car to save tax money.

@I am still oxox We both have Mac's too.  I don't trust the Cloud.  It's just another name for a server and can be hacked. But, you do you.
