West Texas had its first 100 degree day today. Dry wind is blowing. This is awfully early. What's it like in your neighborhood?

I doubt we'll be hitting 100 air temperatures this week, but we will have 100+ degree heat indices.🥵

@On It

South Texas got up to 102 yesterday and we are supposed to "cool down" to 99 today.....Way too early to get this hot....and @Kachina624  yes we desperately need rain too...the big rain we were expecting amounted to enough to barely dampen a sidewalk....🥵

@Spurt   I just knew this was going to be a long, hot, miserable summer and dreaded it all winter.  I bet our monsoon season is a bust again too.

@On It  Coolish here in the PNW Seattle area.....mid to upper 50's.  Showery, rainy and some sun....

I am jealous. We are headed for 100+ again today. Does it rain year round or is this a spring thing?

@On It  We are usually in the low 60's in May....it is a La Ninia thing causing us to remain cool and showery.

  Last summer we had a week of 110 degrees which for here is UN HEARD OF! It was AWFUL....THE FIR TREES WERE IN DISTRESS.

 We are getting warmer too....they saying 50 years we will have no glaciers left that we depend on now for water etc......and it will become much dryer.... we are dryer than years ago already...all signs of climate change. 🙁

I will not be here   to see that I am sure....

87 degrees and sunny in NOLA.  We'll be hitting the 90s beginning this week and summer is officially here.

Our rainfall has been below average, but since we're usually pretty wet that doesn't put us anywhere near drought conditions like some of you.  Believe me, all of you Westerners are in my prayers.

Here in Colorado Springs we broke a previous heat record of 87. It was 91 yesterday and that high temp hasn't been here this early since 1947, according to records. The heat and the drought situ is worrisome.

It's been pouring for two days now.  Temp around 47 and windy.  In other words, miserable with more to come.  East coast.

On the east coast too. It is 43 degrees. The heater has been running for two days. Sorry I packed away all my winter clothes.Glad I still have thick socks to wear.

@On It @Kachina624, and those dealing with extreme heat, it is so scary to hear this stuff already.  My brother lives in the interior of British Columbia and they have been evacuating due to uncontrolled fire for some time now.  Packed and ready to go at a few minutes notice.

Praying you get some precipitation!  LM

I'm in the midwest and we haven't been above 50 many days this year. We have had record rains and cold temps. We went from 40s yesterday to expecting high 90s today. We skipped spring and went straight to summer.
