Received ours yesterday. Also, for those on Medicare Part D, the 2019 information is on the Plan Finder.

@ShowMe I know it varies from state to state, but can you tell me what kind of supplement you have?
We want exactly what you have and it's all so confusing.
Husband will be Medicare eligible in March 2019, me not until September. I need all my ducks in a row so we are starting to think about his now and will be going to a seminar being offered by the county next week and speak to someone as it's gets closer.

I didn't ask for any advice about my plan but I only see specialists, I never need a referral. I regularly see a nephrologist, urologist, GI doc and internal medicine. I see them all 4 times a year, so I'm seeing a doctor once a month. $0 copay for my internal medicine doctor, $25 for the others, no deductible.
$5 copay for x-rays, ultrasounds, etc, which are required for my diagnoses.
No deductible for my meds either, $10 per month for a $600 prescription.
Want to share your monthly premium??

@software wrote:I received mine too, just glossed over it but I got my new book from my Medicare Advantage HMO I signed up with. Co-pays going down and I get a $50 allowance every quarter for OTC meds. There's a link to see the list but I've been unable to download it. But I am required to take Vit D & calcium and that will help. It's not expensive but every little bit helps.
It's a zero premium plan
@software......you have an HMO.....which means if you need to see a specialist that you have to have a referral before you can see a specialist. Also, I believe (not so sure on this) that the amount of your deductible is quite high.
I have a PPO, and see any doctor I wish that is a specialist as long as they take Medicare patients without having to have a referral. And, I have no co-pay to pay. Walk into my doctors office, see my doctor, get my blood work, get my cancer treatment, and walk out without ever having to pay anything. Have been so blessed with the coverage I have. Excellent supplemental.
My prescription coverage is separate. Now that's a different story. Thank goodness the meds I take are not too awfully expensive. The only thing that hit me hard was when I had to get expensive eye drops for the swelling behind each eye due to the cancer treatment I was on. Thank goodness that is all normal now and I only have to go back to the retina special in 6 months from the last visit. And do not need to take any special drops any more.
There is a big difference between an HMO and PPO.
You say it is a zero premium plan......but some where along the way, it will cost you.

@CalminHeart As she wrote, she got it in the mail as did I. If you don't, just go to your local SS office and get one (look up the office you are supposed to go to on the website) or call SS to send you one. They are free and SS is happy to give you one.

Google Medicare & call & ask! Simple.

@meem120......mine has been $83.30/mo. all this year.....haven't received anything yet about how much it will cost me per month in 2019. But thank God, as I stated yesterday on here, none of my meds are very expensive.....get generic on most of them......that is what the doctors prescribe to my pharmacy. I've been retired too long now to remember what my monthly premium was back then.

@software.......I have posted what my prescription premium is.....$83.30/mo. But don't care to post any other premium I have to pay......will say this though......for the past more than 3 1/2 years I went in for a cancer treatment once every 2 weeks....prior to the treatment they did the blood work, got approval from my oncologist to go ahead with the treatment. These treatments cost more than $5,000 for each treatment. That is the approved Medicare cost....then my supplemental paid 20% of that.
And recently I underwent radiology treatments on the tumor on my back.....never had to pay anything. This was all done by the radiology doctor that was in charge of my treatments. She saw me everytime I went in for a treatment.
So far I've had 9 PET scans in that period of time, and am scheduled for the 10th one on 10/18. And have had one MRI. Also inorder for me to keep from having collapsing veins from getting treatments in my hand or arm, they surgically inserted a port that was used for each treatment and blood work. Never have I had to pay anything for any of this.
Believe me, this has not been a picnic for me.
Oh, another thing, a year ago last month I had a pretty nasty fall in my apartment....ended up in the hospital for 6 days, and then was transferred to a rehab facility for 10 days. After release from there, they provided in home therapy treatments for me. When I fell I fractured my T11 in my spine. Never had to pay a thing for any of that.
Never any co-pays....
Please don't think I was giving you any advice.....was only trying to let you know some of the differences between an HMO and PPO.
My primary doctor who I have been going to for many many years now is the one that recommended my oncologist to me after a tumor was found during a mammogram. My primary is an internist. And the other doctors I have had to go to since that diagnosis have been doctors that my oncologist wanted me to see. Have also gone to my eye doctor for many years, and when the photos they took of behind my eyes showed up that there was something going on that he felt I needed to see a retina specialist. Am now finished with him, and he doesn't want to see me for 6 mos. following my last visit with him. I have glaucoma and that needs to be checked out every 3 months with my regular eye doctor.
