Rushing Waters by Danielle Steel
(a major hurricane descends upon New York City)
hi @rustee let me know what you think about it when you're done? Thanks!
I enjoyed "meeting" the characters in Rushing Waters. The novel involves them dealing with personal "hurricanes" in addition to Ophelia and her aftermath. This book turned out to be one of DS's more interesting tales for me.

HI @rustee glad you enjoyed Rushing Waters. Some enjoyed it (like you) and some didn't (like me) lol
I loved The Kind Worth Killing. It was recommended by several readers right here on this board. I hope you enjoy it as much as many of us did.
I'm now reading The Fifth Witness by Michael Connelly. It's the 4th in the Lincoln Lawyer series and I'm enjoying it a lot.

TREE OF AGES by Sara C Roethle which is a fantasy story about a girl who was a tree. It's set in a world of Celtic folklore and she goes on a mission with the hermit who takes her in when he sees her change from a tree to a girl as she searches to find out who she is. Really great writing, she had me hooked from the start.

Has anyone tried James Patterson's BOOKSHOTS. They are great, especially when you are busy but still want to read. So, far I have read 113 MINUTES, HUNTED and now reading McCUllough INN IN MAINE.

@Yahooey, yesterday my mother finished her first John Lutz book -- and she loved it!!! Thank you so much!!! She wants more! And that makes me happy too. Love this forum!
@smoky22, speaking of -- finished "Dust and Shadow" yesterday and loved it. Would not have heard of this book if not for you. Lindsay Faye got the voice of Dr. Watson down perfectly and I marvel at her ability to incorporate the known facts of the Ripper case seamlessly into Holmes' world. Thank you for this and all your great recs.

I just finished the new Danielle Steel book, "THE AWARD", and it was pretty good. I'd say it had a "deeper" storyline than many of her novels. It takes place during the Holocaust in France, and the heroine works to save children and artwork from the Nazis. Her granddaughter works to get her a well-deserved award, while her story is revealed.
Now I am starting Nancy Grace's (formerly of HLN) new book in her Hailey Dean mystery series, "MURDER IN THE COURTHOUSE." They have recently started showing a movie from this series on the Hallmark Mysteries and Movies Channel, starring Kellie Martin.

@LoriLori Speaking of John Lutz, I have been to 3 libraries and none of them have his books. He wrote so many that I just don't get it. After I finish my stash, I am definitely going to request one from the library. They have them, just not so you can find them.

@LoriLori I'm so glad that your mom enjoys his books. He sure can write some creepy books. Love it.
I'm still reading WOMAN WITH A GUN by Phillip Margolin. I've been reading it for a while. It jumps back and forth from the past to the present. Since I'm not reading it consistantly, I forget certain facts from the past, which makes it harder to read.
