Ordinary Grace was one of my all time favorite books - a sequel is supposed to be coming out this spring - can't wait!

Our book club just discussed ORDINARY GRACE by William Kent Krueger.  We all agreed that it was one of the best books we have read in a while.  I have already ordered another of his.  I would describe it as a coming of age mystery.  Takes place in 1961.

@pachutabelle I totally agree with you!! I think this book was recommended on this site, or maybe I found it and recommended it. I can't remember the sequence of events, but the fact remains that this is one of my all-time favorite books. I couldn't put it down for two seconds until I was finished.

It's surprising that I never read any of his other books. I guess because they're a series and I really don't like getting involved in series when I feel compelled to read all of them. But I know I should!

Re: What are you Reading? NOVEMBER 2016

Have not read anything these past two or three weeks that I found really interesting but today I went to the library and brought home "My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She's Sorry" by Fredrik Backman so maybe this will be one to enjoy. Our local library is having a book sale this weekend so I have made a note of some of the authors that have been mentioned in What Are You Reading and maybe I will find some interesting books by authors who are new to me.

Just finished ALL IS NOT FORGOTTON by WENDY WALKER that was recently released July, 2016.  If you like psychological thrillers, then I can't imagine anyone not liking this book.  If you like family drama intertwined with a new scientific premise & moral standards incorporated, you will love this book!

The Bookshop On The Corner, by Jenny Colgan.

Lost her job in the library and turned all the books she saved for whatever the reason may have been over the years into a book shop out of an old bus in Scotland.

@sunala, such a great gal for keeping us readers going.  📚📚📚 Thank you!!!

I am half way through THE TRESPASSER by TANA FRENCH.  I have read everything she has written and enjoyed her books.  I'm still waiting for this one to really grab me.  It gets very good reviews.  We'll see... LM

Back to say I finished this book.  At the half way point, I was wondering if this was going to be a disappointment.  Then, the book took off.  I had to finish reading it to find out what happened. It all came together in a fast paced tale.  The last half was a page turner. I don't want to spoil the book so I won't say more.  I rate this 4 out of 5 stars.

The character development of the female detective and of the victim is really good.  LM

Re: What are you Reading? NOVEMBER 2016

I am reading DEATH BY CYANIDE: THE MURDER OF DR. AUTUMN KLEIN written by Paula Reed Ward.

I had seen Ms. Ward on a local tv show discussing her book and was impressed so I went I purchased the e book from Amazon and am thoroughly enjoying her writing style and super attention to detail.  For one example, Ward details much of the laboratory method used for ALS research which I find to be just as fascinating as the true crime story itself.

I am a true crime reader and am finding this to be one of the best true crime I have read to date.

I finished Fool Me Once by Harlan Coben and just started All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot for each of my book clubs.  I liked Fool Me Once and I do like Harlan Coben very much.
