Thanks for the list.  I used to finish every book I started no matter how bad but I now have a 70 page rule.  If I still do not like the book by 70 pages I quit!  There are so many books I want to read (and more coming everyday) I will not live long enough to get through them!!!

@DiAnne, I hear you but, since I love Tana French, I gave her the benefit of the doubt.  I have a few authors in that category.  Louise Penny is another.  I used to read them all too.  Now I'm older and more discriminating haha.  I have one huge reading list.  Lucky me!!!  LM

Re: What are you Reading? NOVEMBER 2016

After a string of two boring, monotonous Michael Connelly books from the Lincoln Lawyer series, I read a quick, good murder mystery, The Couple Next Door, by Shari LaPena. I really enjoyed it and it I read it in a day.

This morning I started reading Finding Jake by Brian Reardon. I'm not very far into it but it's got me, and I can't wait to get back to reading it.

I needed a few quickies to get back into the groove. I can't believe I wasted 12 days one one book I ended up skimming through the middle to get to the end, and then not caring!

I think I was just really tired of courtroom drama.

Happy reading!

Beatrix Potter's Gardening Life by Marta McDowell

(the plants and places that inspired the classic children's tales)

UPDATE:

This turned out to be a very good selection.  It includes a lot of BP's illustrations and photos that were taken of her and the gardens at that point in time.

Finished Chaos, Patricia Cornwell's new book. I thought it was pretty good, and not as dark as some of her later books.
